3:00 Thanks – Episode 3

Today’s thank you cards were made using Stampin’ Up! paper, cardstock, ink and stamps including Designer Series Paper (DSP) Flowering Foils as well Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Soft Suede. We are showing a few different colour combinations as well as the difference between matting paper with cardstock both 1/8″ and 1/4″ bigger than the patterned paper and sentiment block.
This card was made using a smoky slate card base along with basic grey cardstock to mat the Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper (DSP) from Stampin’ Up!. The basic grey cardstock is 1/8″ bigger than the 3-3/4″ x 5″ patterned paper.

You can notice the difference in the look of the card depending on the colours of cardstock that you use to mat your patterned papers. The left card’s base is smoky slate with the patterned paper matted with basic grey. The right-hand card’s base is soft suede (showing darker than it actually is) with the patterned paper matted with smoky slate.

Which do you prefer? 1/8″ matting or 1/4″ matting? How about the colours? Two tones of gray or pairing the smoky slate with the brown of soft suede? If you have made cards with this paper or using this card design I’d love to see photos. Please add links in the comments below.

Today’s treat boxes were made using Stampin’ Up! papers, stamps and embossing gold embossing powder. The Designer Series Paper. (DSP) is called Bundle of Love.
The boxes are sized perfectly to fit chocolate discs from Alijia Confections here in Ottawa. These came in my April Mystery Box. These Treat Boxes will be going to Nelson House and Interval House women’s shelters once they are accepting donations again.

What else do you think would fit perfectly into these boxes. I’d love to hear your ideas and to see any boxes that you’ve made. Please add your links and thoughts in the comments below.
